Sunday Sermon

Go outside
and let your breath
be stolen away.
Find the forests,
seek the seas,
meditate
on the mountains,
mist covered
from morning.
We are nurtured
by nature, born
for the wild places;
we’ve no business
in cities, in buildings
taller than trees
can grow.
Go outside,
and begin living
again.

Sunday Sermon

I shall simplify,

from this day forward
I seek to reduce,
take all I do not need
and give it
away.
I will whittle down
and let what I lose
bring smiles
to those that receive it
now.
Too often we are buried
in the excess we
never needed,
too often
we believe that teh more
we own the happier
we’ll become.
Too often
we are
wrong.

Sunday Sermon

Mountains
know the secrets
we need to learn.
That it just might take time,
it might be hard,
but if you just
hold on
long enough,
you will find
the strength
to rise up.
